I'm a nerd with too many animals and an effed up sleep schedule. I got a second pit bull a couple of weeks ago who is a foster dog, but now I don't know if I'm going to be able to let her go. She has been in this particular program for around a year, and not even one person has shown an interest in her. I am supposed to take her to the little adoption day tomorrow (or, i guess, later today) at petco, and I'm scared for her. She is a two year old pit bull who was chained up in a backyard for most of her life, and I believe abused by the husband of the woman who gave her up. She is terrified of everything. She has just now accomplished the huge task of climbing ALL the stairs to my third floor apartment by herself. I was carrying her short 75lbs of muscle up the stairs every time she needed to go outside, or we left the house to go to the park or the store. It's really hard to carry a dog, two bags of groceries, a purse, and keys up that many stairs while your other, far more obnoxiously confident pit bull tells you in no certain terms that you are moving too slow, by dragging you up. So, this new pitty princess is quite a charmer, if you live near me, keep an eye out, she's always in a little pink harness.
