Well, I would think that since the poem is talking about Jesus, and that Golgotha was the hill on which he was crucified, perhaps Brautigan meant that Jesus was selling Martyrdom. Or faith, or forgivness. Funny thing about beat poetry; it's up to you to decide what it means alot of the time.
