i remember when i first heard about suicide girls. it was around the time they launched in '01 (that was 2001, right?!). my girlfriend at the time came up on a grip of SG stickers at whatever metal show and was simply told to stick em everywhere. she did. all over her high school.
when we soon realized what it was all about we frequented the site. although the both of us being barely adults neither her, nor i had a credit card. we just knew there were beautiful badass ladies taking their clothes off and expressing beauty and art, strength and being perfectly confident in themselves. we wanted to witness it. we wanted the same for ourselves.
eventually, we figured out who we are individually. we parted ways, but the seed of confidence--perfection in one's self--never left. that boldness. to embrace even the flaws that your strengths and talents would not be hindered from outshining them. we learned that beauty isnt just in the eyes of the beholder. it is there whether one sees it, or not. but if they that possess it decline to give, the eyes of the world are then blinded.
Suicide Girls was a gift.
