So.... I just spent close to $200 on Interpunk, and am planning on spending some more pretty soon to buy some shirts. I put it all on credit too, so it's just adding to my debt. Sometimes you need to treat yourself to the little things in life though, and I feel like I deserve it right now! It was either buying that stuff or a new speaker & amp for my bass which would probably be like $600, and I think I made the wise decision out of the two.
I spent a good amount of time today trying to configure my bass to get the most volume out of it, and still sounding good. I'm pretty sure that I found a pretty good mix. It got loud to the point where my mom came up and yelled at me as I was "rattling everything in the house", my ears started to ring and it was starting to get kinda ridiculous... In other words... perfect for Kulturkampf shows.
There's been some problems with the tour and it may just be a three day tour that we end up going on The show that was scheduled for Sunday in Pittsburgh is up in the air right now, and Jesse could only plan shows for Monday - Wednesday, so it could be as short as a 3 day tour. I posted a bunch of bulletins to try and get some more shows either on Sunday or Thursday-Friday, but it doesn't look too promising so far.
Becca got Mario Kart Wii today so we've been playing that a ton, and I've realized my love for:
I mean, listen to him talk, the dude is obviously into grindcore, and may perhaps be the originator of grindcore altogether. King Koopa's first appearance was in the original Super Mario Brothers that was released in 1985. According to Wikipedia, grindcore developed during the mid-1980s.... Could the two correlate??? I think so!!! King Koopa??? I say, King Grindcore!!!
So Becca is training at her work place so she's going to be working from 9am-4pm pretty much all week so I won't see her too frequently, which I'm mediocre feeling about. Some time apart can be good, but at the same time, I start to get bored and start missing her a lot. So tomorrow... I'm probably going to wake up around 11 or noon. I'm going to do whatever until about 2, as I have to go to the Manager meeting at 3pm. Then, Becca gets down with work at 4 so I'll meet with her. Guerilla Activity is practicing at 5, and then Kulturkampf around 7. So I'm going to have a pretty busy day tomorrow.
