HERE'S THE UPDATE FOR THE WEEKEND...I'LL RESPOND TO EVERYONE IN A DAY OR SO...I WROTE WHY IN MY UPDATE....
Okay, we're back...it was a good weekend, but we forgot the camera card so we have ZERO pics, which sucks. We spent Friday evening wandering around Bourbon, but I just couldn't handle all the people, so we very quickly made our way over to Decatur to the Dirvish where I spent the rest of the night. Then we headed back to our room at Colette's and had some adult fun. Saturday we hooked up with another couple and did the French Market thing and OMG ate at the Egyptian Grill on Decatur and let me just tell you..that was the BEST food EVER. The humus was to die for! I am not joking here people! I wanted to get a few piercings while we were there, but I had already had a goodly amount of alcohol by that time, and didn't think it would be a good idea to bleed all over the piercer. Especially since he knows who I am! LOL Okay, then we stayed at Colette's that night...lots of getting nekked and running around like freaks...we were there with four other couples so lots of going from this room to that and you know...sexual chaos basically...then we left Sunday morning to head back to Baton Rouge. I didn't actually go to sleep until almost noon on Sunday...slept about 4 hours...we were going to stay the night there with our friends but then the kids' mom called and said she needed us to get them so they could go to VBS in the morning...SO, we headed back home...after only 4 hours of sleep...and in horrible weather...and ended up hydroplaning off the highway, knocking over a sigh, spinning into a ditch, running into the trees and flipping the truck over...so yeah...OH, and we had a 7 wk old puppy with us too...so here we are...Vanny is on the ground, in the truck...but on the ground because we are sideways...his window is busted out and his arms are all scratched and bleeding...and I'm dangling in the air by my seatbelt...I managed to hang onto the puppy until we flipped sideways at which point my arms must have flown up because she slipped out under them and landed on Vanny who caught her before she could fall onto the broken glass. We had to climb up out of the truck through my window and through a tree...it was very odd people...so now we are down to one vehicle...until we can get the truck fixed...and you know what really sucks about all this? Just last Monday...LAST MONDAY...we had three..THREE vehicles all completely paid for...we sold the thris one because it had been just sitting in our driveway for a year....and now we are down to ONE...and it doesn't have freakin' air conditioner! So yeah...a little ironic...I'm hoping we can get the truck fixed soon because dragging the kids around everywhere in a non-air conditioned caddy all weekend is NOT my idea of fun. Ya know? Plus, the dogs need their shots and although the pup can go in the car, Trowser is just too damn big. I mean, that would be like trying to fit a horse in there! And here's another bad thing...the caddy is mine and the truck is Vanny's....so now basically Vanny doesn't have a car so to speak...I mean, he will be using the caddy, but you know what I mean...so now that his ex is wanting to restrain me from the house unitl the divorce is finalized I don't know what I'm going to do. We have ONE CAR...I was GOING to go take a nice vacation and go to Houston for a week or two, Florida...Baton Rouge...but now I'm not going to have a way to get there without Vanny having to drive me...so yeah...kinda sucks
Alright, I'm going to go spend some time with puppy head now...I haven't come up with a name for her yet...any ideas based off of last night's events? I'm thinking it should be experience based! Oh, and I'll respond to all of you when I'm feeling a little better...I'm WAY sore right now from the wreck and am just now starting to feel where the seatbelt was...
After much thought, I have decided to name the puppy Petra, which means "rock" in Greek...I thought it was fitting since nothing seems to shake her.
