"I don't mind you comin' here, and wasting all my time...."
I'm listening to AT40-the 70's: It's August 26th, 1978. The Cars are at #32 on the chart - the only song thus far that doesn't sound dated. Definately stands the test of time.
I'm new at this blogging thing - partly 'cause I don't usually like talking about my life to total strangers, but mostly because I'm lazy. Anyhow, my life lately consists of work, spinning, lifting, softball, the occasional club, and playing around on the computer. I'm a huge YouTube junkie - I found a bunch of old videos of bands I listened in High School. Just discovered some old Genesis videos from when Peter Gabriel was still in the band - I think they are from their "Nursery Crime" album if I'm not mistaken. Also found film of Emerson Lake and Palmer from their first ever live show at the Isle of Wright Festival. YouTube is awesome!
You've probaby guessed by now that I am a tremendous music junkie. I love all kinds a stuff. When I was a kid, I would sit in the basement and listen to Kasey Kasem and Dr. Demento, and a ton of syndicated shows, while all of the other kids rode arond on BMX bikes and played atari. Used to love Sunday Nights - listened to "The Seventh Day" on KSHE-95 (I'm from St. Louis) - they played seven albums in their entirety. Often, they would have "Album Side Weekends", and play nothing but album sides all weekend.
There's a bunch of stuff I would love to talk about - sorry, blog, - but their playing Teddy Pendergrass. Thanks to the beautiful and wonderful Agy for suggesting I do this. http://suicidegirls.com/girls/Agy/
