last 3 movies i've seen:
1. kiss or kill: good movie with more jump cuts than i've ever seen. i loved the lead actress.
2. unbearable lightness of being: good concept, poor execution. what's funny is that i watched this movie because i'd read a book authored by the editor which had used it as an example. turns out, the book was great in theory, but the man's practice is a bit off... sorry, walter, the pacing was the worst part of the movie - i don't know if it was the fault of the story or just the editing, but the movie was unbearably long.
3. donnie darko: kick ass! i love nothing more than a mind-fuck, especially when it's relevent to physics! the scene with the tears for fears song gives me chills everytime - it's one of my favorite ever.
in queue:
1. 2046: finally out! i love wong kar wei, and i can't wait to see this. i rented 'in the mood for love' and everything to prepare myself. well, i ended up watching that a couple weeks ago, but now i'm ready 2046!
2. citizen kane: never seen it, people seem to love it... as do my textbooks.
3. old boy: i asked my little buddy at blockbuster for a mind-fucking recommendation and he gave me this. i saw a little clip of this movie in skool and thought it looked pretty cool; it was a killing scene - i like death.
what are the last few movies you've watched? what did you think?
if you'd like, recommend your favorites to me and tell me why i should watch them.

Well, I suppose you can check mine there, if you'd like.
I like Kundera's book, but I don't remember a lot about the movie, other than I REALLY like Juliette Binoche. I always have. Dunno if any of her films themselves are great, I'm just gaga for her.
well...They Live. Not sure, but that might be one of those "guy movies" ..but never means girls won't dig it *shrugs* Was good to finally see it uncut, commercial free.
The original Dawn of the Dead because I hadn't seen the whole thing before. The story-telling and cutting at the beginning wasn't so great, but it becomes more solid as the movie goes along. ...and when the zombies tear up those bikers...good times
And The Tao of Steve on a recommendation...watched it more for philosophies put forth therein than for the movie itself. It was all right.
Favorites seem to change every few days..
Should check out Bubba Ho-Tep if you haven't yet. Nothing beats Elvis and JFK versus a killer cowboy mummy
