sex is everywhere...
in my life, at least.
i mentioned to my family that i'm going to be working in the porn industry. i got a mixed bag of reactions.
my mom, who i told yesterday on the phone, kinda giggled and said that it's great how i'm going to be getting paid to acquire professional media experience - and that it's kosher so long as i'm not the one on film.
i loved telling her what bukakke means.
my brother, eric, who my mom had told not an hour later than i'd told her (what a fucking blabbermouth) laughed and said that he'd always wanted to get into the industry himself.
at the dinner table tonight, eric asked my permission to tell his wife, mom (who is not my mom), dad (who is my dad), and kids.
i must admit, i do love creating moments of awkward tension such as this, so i told him to proceed.
he said: hey, guess what... laura's breaking into the adult film industry.
i appreciated the vague nature of my brother's approach and the responses it conjured.
stacy, his wife, snapped that there's always someone at the table who tries to stir the sentiments to provoke chaos when we're together and that it's usually him (stacy loves to nitpick at eric's behavior... truth of the matter is that the provocative mother fucker tends to be me more often than not - i mean, shit, this was about me anyway...)
eric's mom's eyes bulged and dad was like 'oh no!'.
the kids sat there confused.
of course, i had to clarify that i have no intentions of fucking on film, that i'm just doing the creative work - scripting, storyboarding, scoring and perhaps lighting. and that it's going to pay the fuck off.
ah. magic moments.
