my first semester at columbia was spent freaking out about this sexy little (he's not really little at all) asshole named ben.
my second semester was lonely without him...
by the time he returned to columbia, i was gone..
i was considering going back next semester; i was going to retake advanced midi and wondered if he'd be taking it at the same time, since he didn't take it second semester, last year.
well, i ran into this fool on the street last night.
he told me that he'd just been thinking about me the other day (and my colorful hair).
i no longer have much hair, and its colors are purely natural.
he always thought i was a lesbian -so i found out toward the end- which is why he never tried to make a move... funny how a little misconception can drastically change the dynamics of a relationship.
surely, if there was ever a time that my lesbian look had reached it's climax, it was now - walking down the street in boystown with no hair and a beautiful lesbian next to me.
blah blah blah...
we spoke for awhile.. he mentioned living with tony, the guy who saved me second semester; a cute, witty, little (yes, little) jewish boy. i miss tony; was my replacement for ben - needless to say, with tony around, i was constantly reminded of him.
ben also mentioned that he was planning on taking advanced midi next semester; i told him that was my plan as well.
after a bit more of a conversational exchange, we parted ways.. and for a moment, i had been wrapped up in ben all over again. it was cute.
it ended prematurely, like my days at columbia, and i don't think i'll be growing back in that direction.
