it seems as though im constantly finding more and more sources that stretch my mind. i wouldnt state that its their views, maybe its their researching habits. im drawn closer and closer to these people not because of what they believe, but rather how they go about making their decision. looking into the core, rather than just the notion. it is only when we view both can we truly see it all, and only then should we decide.
using this method only solidifies my view, well, to be more precise, my disdain, for politics. ill write in detail about this later, keep an eye open for an edit on this saturday blog....
EDIT:
a friend brought up a very valid point to me, how my word usage from earlier really isnt entirely accurate. i wouldnt say i hate politics, rather i hate how the arguments in politics move around. heres the examples i came up with last night.
the biggest things that has been going around the earlier half of this year was the health care reform. me, i do see both sides of the fence, as i must, especially with my family. my very conservative family. however, my sisters, who i have lived with for awhile up until now, are very liberal. so i really do get to see both sides of the fence, and have learned to pay close attention to both arguments. as far as the health care reform stands, it obviously had a great aspect to it. providing relatively free health care, to ensure that all americans have health coverage, well, thats just an absolutely great concept. on the flip side, in many ways it is like asking people to pay for other people, but to me, in something this great, fuck it, go for it. i find it to be worth the few extra bucks i may have to pay for someone else, as long as everyone does the part, everything should run smoothly. but here is where the conservative mind enters. though not unconstitutional, since health care is nowhere in the constitution, it is someone in violation of what this country stands for. so the fight then becomes how can this be legally proven? though there apparently are ways, my main, and possibly only, objection to this reform is that the government is FORCING something on the people. just because that something is good, technically speaking, that is not the place of the government. our unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are also our rights to NOT have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. if we choose NOT to have health care, and risk our life, thats our unalienable right. but then again.... the positive outcomes of this reform are so great... stupid double edged knife.
now for my disliking of actions within politics. as though my opinion was FOR the health care reform, many were not, pretty much all of my right side family. and many in office argued points like this or the unconstitutional point they are trying to prove. regardless, heres where i stand on my hatred, if you will. these very same people, all these conservative congressmen saying that this isnt right because its against the freedoms we stand for, are the same assholes who stand and say "we cannot allow gay marriage in our country!!!!" but wait, did you not just say we cant have htis health care because its stands against out freedom? would you not classify the freedom to marry and be happy with WHOEVER you want under our unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? my argument against YOUR stance on gay marriage is the same as YOUR argument against health care reform. so wait, with the health care reform, people like this seemed to try to fight for the freedoms in which this country stands, but then turn around and tell people they dont have certain freedoms. this is where my stance on politics stand.
so i wouldnt say i HATE politics, rather hate watching the back and forth struggle with these pointless and opposing arguing points. i dont like how one senator may have lots of stock in a certain company, and hes masking his fight against or for something that would affect this company. i dont like all the shadows. to me, i would have to stop being human, stop school dont work, and sit around all day for months to research enough into politics to believe i have a grand enough sense of the scene to be able to say that i know whats going on. seeing as how im not willing to do all that, i feel as though ill never actually know enough about whats all happening, where all these opinions are coming from, and what bills affect what wallets to be able to understand enough to make an honest fair judgement on something. all i can do is form my opinions and vote however i can to push them along.
i guess i could say i dont hate politics, rather just dont like discussing them all that much. debating, actually, i wont debate politics, i will discuss them with the phrase "i believe" in the beginning of damn near every statement, because most of the time, i could be wrong in the concept, but ill never be wrong in my belief, its my belief.
anyways... sorry, last nights talk got my mind running in a million ways with a million statements dealing with political figures from WAY the fuck back when, like adams and washington and jefferson. i was mostly silent and threw in my beliefs a few times. but a couple talks hit me close to home, for example my love for history, and how history taught in schools, well, it isnt really history. not going to get into that, honestly. maybe this was just me venting, and giving an example to what it is i have always known about myself. or just elaborating. whatever.

Okay, I was going to write you privately later and apparently I just wrote .. soooo. Nevermind.
Regarding my blog -- it's got to do with my brother, and no, there's really no "dawn" coming with this one. But I appreciate the positivity anyway.
