so today was a good day.
finally a day i can look back on a say "awesome, hope tomorrows the same!"
first of all, me and her are talking again, which is all i could ask for right now. it just brings back that childish jolt of happiness when i read her name on my phone, even if the message is as simple as the word "blink."
secondly, i had to go to school early to make up time, so in reality, i just stopped myself from time failing from my stupid layover. great thing is, the teacher let me sit there and sleep the whole class. that was awesome. then i came out for the period in between morning and night class, and walked around to see this:
apparently one of the locals had a young boy, about 8, die from battling brain cancer, so we were raising money to give to the family, they were pretty much broke frmo the med bills. to show how my school raises money, we beat the hell out of cars.
that and a busted nav antena are my contributions. it was cool as shit. i saw that bumper start to give, swung a couple more times and the crowd went nuts!
me and my trophy!
it took out a lot of stress!
the rest of the day was me reading my new book, "the sign" while the rest of the class put their transmissions on the dyno test machine. my group did ours yesterday, so we had nothing to do all day. got 300 pages in on top of the little 87 i got in yesterday.
this is the warning label on the dyno, by the way
i dont care who you are, that shit is funny!
i so far find it to be a good modern read. touches on politics, religion, science, and the state of the earth. one statement in it actually had me thinking on my way home. the statement, which i will paraphrase, goes like this: of all the different religions out there, most of them are generally christian descent. whether your jewish, catholic, protestant, muslim... they all bow their heads and say the same words, just in different tongues.
so my thinking goes like this: i have been claimin pagan for the past few years, but realize that part of its core structure is NOT somehing i believe. from it, i beleive that God can been found in nature, in the earth, as well as the five elements of life: earth, air, fire, water, and spirit. another unshakable belief i have it in is the kinesthetic energy. thats something i have felt and will never deny. however, i also believe in the bhuddist idea of reincarnation, as well as the christian view of a single god, to be known as simply God. so i have always had that somewhat lost feeling, and do not feel to consider the seemingly lazy faith of "theist," where the only acknowledgement is that there is SOMETHING of a prescence, some sort of being. but with reading this, though i have always thought it, and being such to really give it thought, its true. i can officially consider myself as "christian" without having to follow the protestant or catholic structures.
i also believe in some sort of "fate," but not predetermined destiny. i see it as we have something we were meant to do, but its up to us to do it. just as its up to us to perceive and follow God in our own way, whatever it is that works for us. so now, i officially claim myself as christian. my own christian, my own faith, MY belief.
to recap: talking to awesome person, school was easy, got to kill an audi, fun reading, and found religious place.
therefore: A GOOD DAY!
EDIT: also finally got to race some real cars today: camero ss and G8... sure i got my ass beat but it was fun doing 125 down the highway
