FAREWELL SG!
Okay kids -- signing onto SG Land for one last time. My time is up. I know I kind of said goodbye already, but I figure I owe everyone who's reading this one heartfelt entry before I go.
I just want to say thank you to everyone I've met on this website. And to SG in general for bringing me here as a Newswire editor a hundred years ago in 2004. Without question, the site changed my life in every way.
I moved to New York City on a whim five years ago and didn't know a damn soul here. Figured if I was going to screw up my life, I might as well screw up big. That's about what I was doing before SG. New York City gets really lonely, really quickly, when you're here by yourself.
Then one morning, I was magically asked to come on board to SG as a Newswire editor. Not to brag, but I like to think I managed to ruffle quite a few feathers writing those silly articles. That's when I realized there were some interesting people on here who read those silly things.
Then I started getting active on the site. Even after I got zotted from the Newswire. I was active. Very active. Like I was bordering an internet addiction active. I didn't get nearly 10,000 posts beating off to porn pictures.![wink](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/wink.6a5555b139e7.gif)
Started to going to the SGNY functions and met a lot (ALOT) of really great people. I met some of the best friends I've ever had through it. It was first time I felt at home and welcome in New York City. Everyone there meant the world to me and I honestly don't have one negative thing to say about any of it.
That was two years ago and a lot's changed. I've changed. You've changed. The site's changed.
All good things come to an end. SG was a moment in time that gave me some great memories. That's why I've been sticking around for the last year and a half. Was hoping that fire would somehow get re-lit, but for me at least, its not coming back. If I didn't enjoy my time so much here, I wouldn't be writing this thing.
I'm looking forward to what the next turn in life brings. Don't know what that is, but I'm really excited about it. I hope you guys are all still going to be in the picture.
I'm usually not one to quote songs, but I'm going to end this with one of my favorite Black Sabbath quotes.
I LOVE YOU ALL!

I've never met you, never posted anything on your blogs, never 'friended' you, never had any interaction with you...BUT...I stumbled across a post of yours in the 'social anxiety' group (I think) and it was really interesting and genuine. And now I've stumbled across your last blog entry, and I read it all, and...."well said." Seeya.
