I have thought that values would be paramount in the military. I have been proven wrong. These Ideals we hold sacred to foster respect, loyalty, selfless service, Duty, Honor, Integrity, Personal Courage are found wanting in many. To what extent I never knew but I can tell you now the words and deeds of those appointed above me are less then honorable and to do what is right would be at ones own risk. I can not say I know everything in the military fact is a lifetime is not enough. However in the recent days I have come to an understanding that most only do good when eyes are upon them but preach it to such an extent that belief that they anything other than righteous is swept from the mind. The sheer hypocrisy is mind boggling. How can you trust and have faith in a person with values that change like the weather? I seriously don't know but what I do know is that the words spoken are not meant to be void of action and feeling. And that is why Army I must say I am finished with you. Those still serving I respect and honor your commitment but I can not live such a hypocritical life. So army this is JACKL2 signing out.

I can only imagine how disappointed you must be. Army has been such a huge part of your life, and for it all to end like this must be heartbreaking. Nothing is ever black or white, there are always shades of grey, especially when it comes to extremes like wars. You stay true to your beliefs and values, and let the rest of the world take care of itself.
