Several decades ago, humanity was almost wiped out by the sudden appearance of humanoid beings, known as Titans. Creatures of enormous size and apparently low intelligence, who ate humans for pleasure. However, a small group of human beings survived inside a city protected by walls more than three times the height of the largest Titans recorded to date.

For 107 years, the fortified city was assisted by the Titans' unsuccessful attempts, until one day, young Eren Jaeger and his adopted sister, Mikasa Ackerman, witnessed the appearance of a colossal Titan, making an opening in one of the outer walls. the city, which eats the entrance of a large group of smaller Titans. Both children witness or horror of seeing their mother being eaten alive by one of them. Since that day, Eren has vowed revenge on each of the Titans.

As for the female characters, we do not deny that Shingeki no Kyojin is one of the biggest and best female representation stories of today, including an OVA focused on the story of some of them called Lost Girls, with female characters being as important as male characters and present in prominent positions in organizations in the human territory.

One of the clear examples of such female under-representation is Private Mikasa. Despite being considered the best in his soldier class and having incredible combat and quick thinking skills since he was a child, his triumphs are driven by the obsessive desire to protect Eren. All the decisions that she makes, since she found Eren, are due to him.

I remember for the first time that I saw this anime, at the recommendation of a friend, I was stoned and found it incredible from the beginning, where right away we are bombarded by shocking and exciting events with a very good '' colossal '' soundtrack too!!

What ties you to the story are all the reasons why are left in the air. You must have realized that not even historically situating the events was possible, because the characters themselves do not know. What are titans? Where do they come from? How do we get rid of them? Among many other questions that arise as the story progresses and you will see that, perhaps, the greatest threat is within the walls!
