Heey SGland 💖
after some time without posting great things, I'm back !!
these days I had the opportunity to watch a great play, about the phenomenon Alexander Hamilton, it is an aesthetic experience that goes beyond language issues; it's theater, it's musical, it's a masterpiece and it's the best experience for cinema in a long time. and no, it’s not a movie, it’s theater! the concept of his play to tell “the history of the USA at the time through the current USA. Based on the idea that Alexander Hamilton had a habit of writing to escape life's adversities, Miranda realized the parallel between the life of the politician and several rappers, and when he decided to compose most of the musical in rap and hip-hop there would be no escape from the lineup.
the coolest thing is that the work was done with actors of different ethnicities and not just caucasian actors. Uniting ethnicities and nationalities in a way not only independent of reality but also of the narrative itself (the three Schuyler sisters are interpreted by a Filipina, a black woman and a Latin woman), Hamilton became a flag for the pride of the diverse origin of the USA, an ideal that lives on erased today.
it's hard to watch and not be with "look around, look around" ...
Another warm find was Raised By Wolves, in my opinion one of the best science fiction series, It's the 22nd century and war has destroyed the Earth. Two androids, generically called mother and father, are sent into space with viable, frozen human embryos to colonize the distant world of Kepler-22b. They need to restart humanity, with scientific and atheistic teachings, because here religion does not bring anything good for humans. On the other side of the war, the Mithrai religious, placed their chosen few (around a thousand people or more) in a huge space ark destined for the same world.
While the series explores the parallel nature of faith and conviction, it also allows us to experience their arguments through the renewed perception of the mother, father and children they raise - specifically, their Champion “son”. the series has a color palette and incredible photography. the story has a very impactful turnaround, I was very divided on who to believe hahah
and a great novelty and achievement for me, is that I am finally working in the area that I am studying (environmental management) and this is a great experience for me, it came at a very delicate moment, and where I was needing to occupy my mind.
In this work, I will teach environmental education to children in a park, which is part of a water treatment company here in my region, I did some really cool activities in addition to photographing the spaces, insects and butterflies, kayaking, and I was able to miss one little of the fear of water. one of the ones I like the most is planting trees and new seedlings to reforest the area.
well this is what i have been doing for the last few days, i miss making more lives here, i hope you miss me, and look forward to the next hahah i love you !!
XOXO ✨💖
