Hi guys!!

With a lively and colorful take, “Tropicana” brings images of typical northeastern flavors, with hitherto exotic fruits like mango-rose, sapoti, juá, umbu, cajá, cane-caiana… The fruits describe a woman in a sweet way must be enjoyed ('desfrutada' because in Portuguese the word is much more beautiful). it was this energy that I wanted to bring to my new set Morena Tropicana.

The song was recorded in 1982, by Alçeu valença and it has several versions and melodies, my favorite is this one: youtube

Music, as a significant cultural element, manages to generate movements sensitive / transversal both in the spaces and in the actors who dialogue in these spaces. It serves as a kind of “instrument” that enables mediation between man and the world, from the imagination and their respective ability to “decipher” the images present in the different contexts. Therefore, it is possible to understand that the song arouses certain sensitivities regarding a poetic significance of the world, the from the production of sound / visual synesthesias.

The interesting thing is that Alceu Valença says in certain moments "come and enjoy me" and in other times "I will enjoy you", thus creating a relationship of equality in the desire of lovers for the other's body. Here it is not only he who likes it, he finds it tasty, it is an exchange relationship. As if a piece of fruit taken to the mouth was tasted in the same way that he would delight in the sweet Spittle.
