Hi SGland !!! I hope you are all well! today's blog is about some movies, and animations that go to my list of favorites, that is (writing not to forget) lol
A French animation, '' La planete suvage '' is part of this trend of the 70s where aliens and mysticism were on the rise, but with a much darker and Gnostic treatment that made it be compared to the 1968 film “Planet of the Apes”. Mesmerizing and psychedelic, it tells the story of the Oms, creatures similar to humans, kept as animals domesticated by an alien race of blue giants called Traags. We follow the trajectory of an Om called Terr, from childhood to adulthood. He manages to escape slavery through a Traag learning device and begins to organize a revolt.
The strange knowledge absorbed by the protagonist through Tiva's telepathic device plays the main role in the plot: knowledge not only applied in the escape of the Oms from genocide, but mainly as a means to awaken consciousness to a reality not immediately perceptible beyond a prison comfortable. It is the reference that Laloux makes to gnosis, the divine knowledge that allows not only salvation, but also the ability to rise psychically from being a prisoner in a comfortable cell.
the film AstroGnótico - narratives where aliens fall to Earth and become prisoners of human cruelty, or the reverse: the man dominated by aliens whose superior technological and spiritual knowledge is no guarantee that they are kind and tolerant.
after that, sure that whoever saw it will never step on a little ant or attempt the life of an insect without thinking: “what if it were me?” .The film has a vibrant soundtrack that involves the senses in this plot.
Arrival
the biggest concern of the plot is not the alien invasion itself, but the reaction of the peoples, because the simple existence of the invasion triggers, and how people tend to violence when they are afraid, or in the face of some situation beyond their control. the film revolves around a new intelligent form of communication, in the quest to try to understand beings, and to discover what they want. diving further into this theme, the form of communication between peoples, and the use of words that can be taken to different meanings.
a linguist is called in to try to contact discreet newcomers and decipher their mysterious language. Without violent intentions, without frightening reactions, without unwarranted attacks, the apparently peaceful ships await on Earth as the world collapses politically and economically. Phlegmatic ETs and a strong protagonist are no longer common in cinema combinations.
Kimi ni todoke
tells the story of Sawako, who is popularly known as Sadako, that eternal girl from the well of The Call (Ringu, as he is known in Japan and mentioned in the anime) Sawako resembles the girl from the well and in some parts of the anime we can see brilliant references to the film. This makes all her “classmates” very afraid of her, making her a lonely girl. However, this does not make her lose her optimism and her desire to move forward.
the story takes place in a school, there she meets a special person, who ends up helping her to face several obstacles, one of them is the difficulty of having friends. it's a very cute story, as I say '' hit my heart '', surrounded by sentimentality, overcoming and friendship, it's worth taking a chance! (if you are an anxious person like me, you will hate the delay in unfolding the facts, but other than that it's ok!)
Mahoutsukai no Yome
Mahoutsukai no Yome (The Ancient Magus Bride) is a magical anime.
The plot follows the young Chise who never fit into anything in this world. But it has the power to see some spirits and magical beings. Everything starts to change when it is auctioned and bought by Elias. This is a magician (with a "monstrous" appearance) and so he wants to make you his apprentice. one of Mahoutsukai no Yome's undeniable qualities is its setting. It is amazing how everything presented to us gradually fills the stage and gives an impressive layer of fantasy. one is impressed by the details that surround these worlds. And also with the liveliness they have. The main characters are very good. Chise and Elias have chemistry and provide beautiful moments. Some reminiscent of the great classic "beauty and the beast", but far from any cliché ...
Another very positive point of Mahoutsukai no Yome is his reflections. It is impossible to remain indifferent to the situations presented to us. Occasionally we are immersed in both the fantasy world and the exciting moments. A great example of this is when Chise visits dragon country for the first time. That final conversation with the dragon who was at the end of his life is just too beautiful. It's one of those scenes that you keep thinking about for days.
Mahoutsukai no Yome ends with a positive balance. An anime with a lot of content to offer. With several moments that make us reflect on life, death and our existence as a whole. A really magical anime. a very important thing is that all the characters are all very visually beautiful, they are well thought out from their characteristics, up to their history and meaning, the fact that they do not have a major highlight is a little sad, since when it ends it leaves us wanting more ... it sure is a favorite now !!
Nana
The anime tells the story of two very different girls, but who coincidentally have the same name, the same age and are going to Tokyo on the same train, their name is Nana Komatsu (Hachi) who is going to Tokyo after her boyfriend Shouji and in search of a job, and Nana Osaki who is a singer and is going to the capital in search of success in the world of music. The two meet on the train and sympathize with each other, but end up missing each other at the station. fate brought them together again, making them share an apartment. So begins the anime that narrates Nana's life and career.
The Nana's relationship becomes a great friendship and the two end up deeply involved in each other's lives and problems. It is very beautiful how friendship is portrayed in this anime, it is worth more than romantic relationships. But do not think that love is left out, on the contrary it has a very important presence, and as the anime is aimed at an older audience, the expressions of love go far beyond kisses. Nana is the one with the best love relationship, it is amazing how strong her and Ren's love is, as if it were an addiction, the two cannot stay apart. And Hachi's love relationships are a disgrace, poor thing, she always gets in the way or because she gives herself too much and suffocates people or because she is always in love, but we can see that her and Nobu's story is different from the others, you can see that they love each other, but that for the family she decided to abandon him.
As Nana is a singer and has a band and her boyfriend, Ren, also has one, the soundtrack is sensational. It's so cool that you end up becoming a fan of the two bands: BLAST and TRAPNEST. But for me without a doubt BLAST is the best, the song that Nana sings for Hachi is incredible, it is impossible to be without hearing it afterwards!! BLACK STONES / rose.
If you like shoujos, you will love Ao Haru Ride :3
I confess that I didn't watch an anime shoujo, but I liked Ao Haru Ride right in the first episode. Futaba was a cute girl that boys liked and that made other girls jealous who ended up excluding her. That’s why in the first year she decided to be as feminine as possible, leaving her things messy, eating a lot, without putting on makeup… That makes her have friends, but soon she realizes that it’s not a true friendship, it’s something forced since Futaba it also “changed” forcibly. In this new way of being she finds a boy who looks a lot like the Tanaka she liked in elementary school and who, due to a misunderstanding, ended up walking away without Futaba having the opportunity to explain herself. Only this boy is called Mabuchi. She thinks he is not the same, but after recreating a past situation in elementary she discovers that he is really Tanaka-kun who changed his name because his parents divorced. But he is no longer that sweet and kind boy that Futaba knew. He is sometimes thick and very cold and she wonders what happened to him. What caused this drastic change.
At first she thinks that she can recover those good moments in the fundamental if she explains to him what really happened, if she tells him that she hates all the boys, but he is different, but even explaining and even saying what he wanted to say since that time, Mabuchi says that he has changed and she has also changed and that time has passed. She tries to forget him and convince herself that she doesn't like him anymore, that she liked Tanaka and not Mabuchi, but soon realizes that she is trying to make mistakes and that she is in love.
Haru Ride talks a lot about changes. The changes that people go through in life because of good and bad events and their consequences. I confess that this one brought many tears to me.
I hope you like today's nominees !! kisses
