Wow it's been a while since I've posted.
I'm horrible at journals, I always have been. I didn't make any resolutions this year (because usually it doesn't work), but one of the things I've thought about recently I'm going to try is to update regularly.
Anyway, second weekend in the new room. My old room was in the part of the building where most of the lower enlisted (E-1 through E-4) live. I'm talking super loud bass nearly 24/7, retarted screeching and hollering and Halo, all the time. I like quiet and solitude when work is over. Because of all the people I lived around, I was constantly stressed out and angry because I could never really relax. When you don't have anywhere you can relax and let your defenses down, it wears you down. So this weekend was as good as I could expect. I watched alot of anime, some of season 2 of The Shield, read some manga, worked out...relaxing.
I do miss my old room mate. He left about two weeks before I finally decided to see about moving again, and got here. We both hated the room I was in, but we stayed there because we wouldn't have gotten a room together if we'd moved then. He was really the only friend I had here. When I get out (because I stopped being on the fence about re-enlisting long ago), I'm hooking back up with him in Colorado. That's the current plan, anyway. His dad is a three star General in the Air Force, so I won't be lacking in connections or hook ups.
I'm debating buying a 512 MB iPod Shuffle strictly for gym use. I find it's easier to run or bike if I have appropriate music.
I need to take new pictures too...of myself and the room.
That's it for now. Hopefully I'll keep this thing up from now on.
