EVENTS OF THE UPCOMING WEEKS: Las Vegas - Friday through Monday; 8/15-8/18 (Poker); 8/22-8/25 (Nerding)
That's right, it's a double dose of Vegas this month (average temp in Vegas in August - 105 - greeeeat
)- not exactly how I planned, but I'm not gonna complain (much).
The first weekend was due to one of my poker playing friend having the weekend off (his work affords him a weekend off about every 6 months), calling up going "I have the weekend off - lets go to Vegas!". The second trip out there is due to the closing of the Star Trek Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton. Me and my friend stationed in the military had always said we would go to it one day, and so I have avoided visiting there on my pervious Vegas trips. But after 10 years in operation, it will be closing Labor Day weekend. So once we compared our schedules, the weekend after my poker Vegas trip was the only open for both of us. So if you want to hang with us, we'll be in Quarks Bar having a Romulan Ale.

Aww man, I only got to go to Quark's Bar once. At least I bought a bunch of cool Romulan Ale bottle openers for my friends when I was there.
