UNUSUAL ATTRACTION OF THE WEEK: Kristen Bell - Actress
....in honor of Veronica Mars - once again another great show with loyal fans and a bad habit of not stooping to the lowest common denominator that is a victim of the cancellation beast. The Queen of Snarkiness has solved her last case
PASS OF THE WEEK: Tony Parker to Manu Ginobili (through Mehmet Okur), Spurs vs. Jazz, Game 2
People who say the Spurs are boring to watch don't watch Spurs games; they just buy into all the hype that they are proficient and play defense, so they must be no fun. Manu and Parker run fast breaks and do stuff like this all day, and no one give them any credit.
FRIEND JOURNAL OF THE WEEK: SG Ramona - May 24, 2007
With roommates like this, who needs enemies?
TV SHOW OF THE WEEK: Lost - 3x22/23
My theories can be found on the Lost Group: "I don't think it's a foreshadow.."
POKER HAND OF THE WEEK: Big Dog's Saturday Night Event - $1/$2 Cash Game
TABLE: 6 people - Me: Approx $80, Opponent: approx $70; Some Dude: approx $100
PRE-FLOP: Some Dude limps, Opponent raises preflop $6, I call in the big blind with AA (looking to slowplay a bit ), Some Dude calls.
FLOP: 996 - A very good flop for me, but I have to be weary of a rouge suited connector (89 or 109). But considering how tight the table has been, and the fact that I'm the only blind left, I am confident I should have the best hand. But the board is scary, so I need to slowplay and let someone else stab at it.
ACTION: I check, Some Dude checks; Opponent raises $12 - The trap is set , but I take my time to consider all my options. Some Dude is already mentally out of the hand (he's a tightwad anyway ), so we don't have to worry about him. The Opponent originally raised preflop (after a limp), so there is no way he has a 9 - he's likely riding a very big pocket pair (KK or QQ). If I just call, he may believe I slowplayed a 9 (I was a big blind after all), and I'll never get another dime out of him. But if I go all-in here, it will make him make a decision, and it will be very difficult for him to fold his big pocket pair, since how could he put me on Aces? I didn't reraise pre-flop or take first stab at the board.
ACTION: I got all-in for the last $60. He mulls it for about 2 minutes (trying to figure do I really have a 9, and I do my best to give him he truth - no I don't ) and then called, flipping over KK.
RESULT: Turn and River cards were harmless; My AA99 two-pair beats his KK99 two-pair, I win the $150 pot
SONG/MUSIC VIDEO QUOTE OF THE WEEK: Weird Al Yankovic, "Don't Download This Song"
"...because you start off stealing songs, then you're robbing liquor stores....and selling crack...and running over schoolkids with you car....so don't download this song."
If you were disappointed in Poodle Hat, give Straight Outta Lynwood a shot - this is just on of the many quality songs on it (just don't download it!!! )
FANTASY BASEBALL PICKUP OF THE WEEK: Alan Embree - RP - Oakland Athletics
This is not what you would call a keeper, but since the injury to the A's main closer Hudson Street, Embree's been tagged to fill the role. With two saves under his belt this week, he's worth a short term pick up. Careful though, when Street comes back, don't drop him immediately - the A's bullpen as a whole has blown a crapload of saves, so if Embree holds it down well, Street might not get his job back so easily.

Thanks! I'm not dancing regularly anywhere right now, but I am still dancing. Things always come up.

They took me off the schedule at JG...it's all just a bunch of bullshit drama really...sigh...but that's ok. I know some better opportunities will come up.
