UNUSUAL ATTRACTION OF THE WEEK: Megan Pryce - Actress
...shame a funny, cute woman like her gets stuck on crappy sitcoms
DUNK OF THE WEEK: Baron Davis over Andrei Kirilenko, Warriors vs. Jazz, Game 3
The silence says it all...
Best comment: that was just filthy. someone tag this with 18+.
FRIEND JOURNAL OF THE WEEK: Sadista - May 12, 2007
in a Tent + Writer looking for an agent
TV SHOW OF THE WEEK: Veronica Mars - 3x16
Mars is back from a way-too-long we'll-let-you-know-when-we'll-come-back-on-the-air-I-swear break, and it seems like they decided to start off with a mostly stand-alone episode (no new on-going mystery to replace the who-shot-the-dean storyline). Good to see: a) Sheriff Mars bustin out the authoritie! Fun to watch, but he will get into some deep shit quick with no officers left b) DJ Dude getting some balls and making a move on Veronica, and c) her responding in kind, and not him trapping in "The Friend Zone". Note: I have no sympathy for Logan - HE'S AN ASSHOLE - entertaining one yes, but so was Dukat, and we saw what happened to him:
SONG QUOTE OF THE WEEK: Guns 'N' Roses, "Civil War"
"Look at the hate we're breeding; look at the fear we're feeding..."
ROAD GEEK PIC OF THE WEEK - Savanna, GA - US 17 - Eugene Talmadge Bridge
Beautiful cable-stayed bridge that spans over the Savannah River from the city to Hutchinson Island and on to South Carolina. You can see in the pic the old pillars that once held the old bridge that was taken down in 1990 (and used to be old ALT US 17).
FANTASY BASEBALL PICKUP OF THE WEEK *UPDATE*: Kelvim Escobar - SP - Los Angeles Angels
Last week I talked about taking a shot with him:
3-1, 2.84 ERA and 1.17 WHIP; he looks like he back to 2005 form on a first place Angels team that should give him some run support.
Thursday comes, he pitches a nine-strikeout, no-walk complete game shutout . If you didn't grab him before, he's gone now...

POLITICAL "WTF" OF THE WEEK: McCain Didn't Want a Battalion Covering His Back In Iraq Marketwalk - May 13, 2007
McCain on NBC's "Meet The Press", talking about the famous/infamous highly staged and highly armed walk through a Baghdad market :
I had an armed escort because, because that's what General Petraeus thought we ought to have._ I didn't call for the kind of, quote, protection that was around me...And I'll be glad to go back to that market with or without military protection and, and humvees, etc...
Riiiiight...you go do that...let me know how it goes....
