Well, the election turned out as I had hoped. For the most part anyway. Liberals took a minority, and the NDP doubled up... Good. I've always voted NDP, so I was happy to see the results. With any luck, things may eventually turn around here a bit.... Fat chance, I know. But hell, one can dream right? I was just glad to see that Stephen Harper and his band of miscreants did not sneak in.... That would have scared the bejeesus out of me.
Did a bit of computer work today for my boss. I had to go over to his place to start it off. Then, I realised that I could come back home to continue it, which was nice. During my time there, the dog began to eat my shoe. It was an exciting time.... Let me tell you.
In the morning, it's off to Toronto to do some running around, and pick up loan documents for the program I will hopefully be taking in October. I'll probably end up killing a bit of time in the city afterwards as well. Head over to Rotate This to pick up a record or two possibly. It should be alright. I enjoy the city... Too much for my own good at times. Hopefully, if all goes according to plan, we'll be heading that way to live either late this year, or early next year. Must escape Courtice.... Have a great situation here, but it's time to move on.
I've been thinking about these lyrics quite a bit over the course of the day:
"She laughed and so did I in our lane. Then she went to the vending machine to buy a candy cane, but right next to that was a boy I knew with a spring in his hand, playing a country pinball machine called 'Stand By Your Man'. I saw him talk to her but I stayed in my lane and played my game steady, and was thinkin' of a day when I'd be too old to throw a ball this heavy".
Taken from the song "Hand Springs" by The White Stripes... Neat stuff.... Cheers.

If you can afford it, it'd be nice to have you a half an hour closer; seeing how I spend a lot of time in the city, myself.
What did you pick up at Rotate This?
