Soooo - I'm a giant trivia nerd. I love it. I'm not necessarily good at it...I just can't pass up the opportunity to answer random questions (hence my childish "survey" addiction on Myspace., and my obsession with board games...)
Anyway, I saw a commercial for the World Series of Pop Culture on VH1 yesterday and felt a tingle in my nether regions. How exciting for me. A trivia show about stuff I'm actually interested in and may even know the answers to?? Hmm...
So I went online to check out the criteria for getting on the show (just for curiosity's sake)..turns out Entertainment Weekly created The Great American Pop Culture Quiz as such (it's over 100 questions just so you know). So I took it. And wow do I suck. I mean, when you really think about the history of pop culture...that's a wholeee lotta shit to know. And a whole lot of movies I've never seen, and details I most certainly would never remember. I mean, for objective's sake - who decides that Terms of Endearment should be questioned and not Cocoon? Or Apollo 13 and not The Outsiders? It's totally a hit or miss thing. But I guess if you're a real movie buff, you may enjoy both the quiz and the show. I'll still watch the show, but I'll probably feel just as dumb as I do when I watch Jeopardy
Oh and one more thing - the damn quiz doesn't provide you with answers! Or at least I couldn't find them...so if anyone does, let me know! Because if I got even 10 right, I'll be a happy camper
Happy answering!

But my ignorance has never been a surprise to me ,
I'm more surprised by people who believe they know everything !
And I'm in awe of the people who actualy do know everything !
At least compared to me !
