I have several things to discuss at the moment - the most imminent being my dog Bailey's current state of health. He tends to have an allergic reaction to certain types of lawn seed and/or chemicals. If he comes into contact with any of the seeds or chemicals, he immediately swells to at least one time his size, his skin turns a very bright, unhealthy shade of pink, he breaks out in hives all over his tiny, furry body, and he practically overheats. I feel so unbelievably bad for him when this happens, particularly because he has had more surgery than most humans I know combined (nasal surgery twice, bladder stones twice, two reconstructive leg surgeries..see what I mean?), and is currently recovering from his last reconstructive leg surgery - so he is in pain and gimpy in addition to really hot and itchy. Anyway, the breakout occured late yesterday afternoon. We immediately gave him a bath with his prescription shampoo (for just such occasions) and gave him a prednisone (leftover from the last time this happened). He is usually at least beginning to get better by the end of the second day (which would be today) - and instead he is getting worse. He is so miserable that he has been laying in any cold, dark enclosure he can find (i.e. under the fax machine stand, in the bottom of my bedroom closet, behind any toilet boil in the house)...I just love my dogs so much, and I feel so so badly when I am not able to do more to help them
Secondly, my life has become (or always was?) so pathetic that I actually just rented (ON PURPOSE) Nanny McPhee on HBO On Demand...no, I'm serious...really not even kidding...
I also have a very very large pile of clean laundry to put away, which really does not seem appealing at all right now - AND to top it all off, I totally cheated on my diet the past few days (PMS is a BITCH) AND I didn't even go for my daily 3 mile walk today....so, I'm sure I just screwed up the 12 pounds I lost so far...argh...
On the up side - I believe I have figured out where I would like to go on my honeymoon (note to self: not yet engaged) - my boyfriend and I always discussed going to Venice on our honeymoon...however, I am very excited to have discovered somewhere much more exotic, and luxurious - Bora Bora! How excellent is that? I better find a job soon so I can start saving my pennies for our someday honeymoon destination
Lastly, I hope anyone who had the opportunity to enjoy the BEAUTIFUL NYC weather today took full advantage of it (unlike me!) and that more people start talking to me so they can help keep me up for a while because I (once again) have to pick up Sean from the train station at around 3:30 am. I am such a super girlfriend

Venice is nice for couples but I recommend something exotic like Bora Bora!
