I went mountain biking today for the first time in about 6 years. It was awesome. I went to afton alps, one baby of a ski hill, but hard enoughcore mt. biking for me. I went over the handle bars once and had another near groin shot from the headset, the side of my nuts are actually scratched, I would have been out for the count if it wasa direct hit. it would have been funny to watch, cause i yelled out "that's it I'm getting a fucking cup" in the midst of the crash. I also managed to break off the harness for my flashing taillight. I almost made a second lap, but had some muscle cramping going on and enough skin loss and paint donated to the trees to call it a pretty fun day.

You could rent books? Lucky bastard! I've spent over $500CAN on books this semester... seems there was no way around it.
Canada is neat. It's fucking cold in the winter and incredibly hot in the summer, but other than that... I love that I can be in a big city, very urban and busy, and yet if I drive 20 minutes I'm in the middle of nowhere on a dirt road surrounded by nature. Plus, some of my favourite SGs are close by.
So lets get this straight: Mountain biking. You got injured in what I imagine is a very painful way.. and it was awesome? Freako.
I've never been to BC, but I've heard a lot about it... it almost seems like some kind of rite of passage for young Canadians to suddenly take off to the west coast to 'discover themselves'. I have a feeling that means doing a lof of skiing and drinking a lot of beer more than anything else.
