I bought the new Say Anything album, and I can't say I'm disappointed. They're my favorite band and have been for the past 5 years. HUGE fan. In Defense of the Genre, their last album really made me disappointed in them, because there was so much content to it, that I just couldn't bring myself to really like it. That, and the quality of the songs were mediocre at best. However skeptical I may have been, when I heard their new single "Hate Everyone," it was all good until he sings the line "I'm still down with JC" meaning Jesus Christ.
I am an avid atheist.
I was a little turned off, but I really enjoy the musical value of this album. There are a few slips of the lead singer's, Max Bemis, religion thrown in there, but overall, I really liked it.
AND,
on a personal note, I'm going to Jersey this weekend to visit my best friend up at Rutgers.

timothystarship:
i really liked it too. i think if you listen to the JC line in context you can infer that he is being facetious.
giggles:
i thought jc meant the guy from nsync
