Kinda time for a sad moment.
In 2 days it'll be the 2nd anniversary of my wife's passing and the 1st anniversary of my Grandfather's. It's going to be harder because the day after that is my Grandmother's birthday, the day after that would have been my Grandfather's birthday and then on January 9th it would have been my wife's birthday. So not only did the death's coming on the same day (almost exactly 1 year apart, within 3 hours) but they came very close to both of their birthdays. Not to mention within a week of Christmas.
The boys have handled their mother's loss so well, I'm really impressed with them. But kids adapt to their environment. As long as you provide them with love and security they'll adjust to new situations. Just keep them feeling safe and nurtured and they'll usually do ok.

Young kids are usually resilient.
