I just help the nurses out on trauma/surgery. Generally, I take out the laundry, get patients water or snacks if they're allowed to have it, transport pts off the unit if they're getting discharged, run specimens to the lab if the pneumatic system's down and minor stuff like that. It's just a way to work with patients and medical staff in an inpatient setting as opposed to my outpatient job as a phlebotomist/specimen processing tech in a satellite clinic laboratory.

For Halloween I was thinking of being Billy Joe Armstrong. I've always wanted to be a rock star! The teenage nurse outfit at lip-service looks pretty cute. I'll bet you'd look hot in that!
