Is it wrong that I want an honest and beautiful girlfriend? I’m sure I’m doing something wrong. I try to do everything I can to make a girlfriend happy. I need some insight. Why is so hard for someone to be honest about what they say and that it be true? Not just saying it but actually believing and feeling it too.

I think it's tightly connected to that most social norms are based on making person obey some rules and causing guilty for disobeying. Honesty is socially unacceptable in general. Sad, but true.

That is a sad state. I don’t see any use in lying to someone, regardless of the reason. If a relationship is based off of lies then it is doomed to fail. The only rules I have ever imposed on a relationship is, be honest. Don’t tell me what you think I want to hear. It is scary for most to have a truly honest relationship. If I want to be with someone, why not be secret free from the beginning?
