saw the freakiest movie last night: the original Alfie, presented on VHS by Joan Collins! Seriously. And I'm guessing that she and her staff never even saw the film (they released it mid-80s; it came out mid-60s) -- i think they were just thinking it was titilatting and risque. Risque alright... Michael Caine is a selfish asshole who, by the end of the film, has evolved into a selfish asshole. yeah!
haven't seen the new alfie yet, but i'm not sure i care.
