Okay, so I saw this on Facebook.
And god forbid I voice my opinion on facebook without someone rataliating. I know you guys even if your opinions differ wont hate me and delete me lol.
I can see both points here. But to be honest..I kind of agree with Turkey more.
And not for the game itself. I mean at some point its does display violence (When it gets dark for example)
It also teaches survival skills and such, and is a good way to explore imagination..
BUT to be honest..
any game or tv show isnt really good for your child..especially is they watch too much. Being a baby sitter i see stuff like lack of social interaction and obesity because parents just turn on a tv and say go for it. With younger kids this terrible for them. Honestly a two-five year old shouldnt watch for than 1-2 hours of EDUCATIONAL tv a day...so what are the games even doing for them besides "exploring imagination"
I have read recent studies that show that kids who watch too much tv or play too many games have a hard time distinguishing reality from fantasy when their older. They already do that now but if you watch too much tv or play too many games it goes without saying that this can affect your mind in the future as well.
It also isnt good for their vision, sleeping patterns, and wieght. Most kids eat processed junk and watch too much tv because their parents are lazy themselves.
Like i said..it does come down to the parents. but do you really think your child needs to play this game quite yet? Yes it has good aspects to it like teaching them about nature, computer skills, etc. But that can wait until they are more developed, can it not? what are your takes on this? Am i being ridiculous as this guy is making me sound?
