Wellsir, I'll be damned.
Fate, it seems, is on my side. Timing, at the very least.
I've decided to head to Austin afterall. There'd been stress of habit between she and I anyway, so it may not have mattered in the end if I stayed.
Austin-she gets a funky feeling, and so do I-it's a funky town. It's the best of my options.
Austin with Ashley? Well, yes and no.
Yes, it's a cool idea and I'd LOVE to help her out since I know the pain/cost of living.
She's leaving in June....
I'm leaving in a matter of weeks.
Hopped over to roommates.com where I'd done my previous searching. A listing pops up that had been shown as a high match months ago when I first started looking.
Then the IM window opens, and it's said listing.
Yea, she won't like that it's co-ed, regardless of us being together or not. But it's cheap. Bedroom and bathroom, $275, utilities split 4 ways (with cable internet access!), washer/dryer in the house, bus stop right outside, WalMart down the road on either side, RIGHT BY Congress St (where the lovely Alamo Drafthouse resides)....it's like getting plopped downtown for nothing!
Ashley, I'm going to keep an eye out for a place for us if you're looking to room up still, or; there may be another room available then. Who knows. Obviously we'll be keeping touch.
Already have a job possibly lined up, too, which I'll take if I get transferred or not. Up to $18 an hour, working at home, data entry! WOOO!
Time to be money and space wise.
Gotta figure out HOW I'm getting there. Several possible options.
Time to lighten my load and put some cash in my pocket. Time to say goodbye to the TV, some CDs, maybe the DVD player and PS2 (I can always put a DVDROM in the PC)...
Ohgod. Open Screen Night at the Alamo Drafthouse. There'll not only be people in this town to work with and help me, but I'll have a SCREEN to show on.
Too much to put down. Gotta get to work on MP3ing music.
