Well it's already past my bed time, might as well stay up even later and blog, huh?
Last week was pretty intense at work. I spent two days with my boss and about 60 other people from around the business at a workshop focusing on the very same area my whole job is all about. Which is great, because if there is so much focus on it by people much more important than I am, then I vicariously get the knock-on benefits and all of my KPI's are being hit. On top of that, I was able to make presentations in front of all of these bosses of the company and generally raise my profile. Man, salary review is soooo far away, it would be perfect right now! But my responsibilities and focus will be greater in the next few months, so hopefully it will come with a title change and some kind of stupidly big payrise.
Enough about work.
I had my first soccer training on Thursday night. I felt like I started pretty strong. I was doing OK at the skills and keeping up with it all. Then the longer it went the worse I felt. I'm not as fit as I thought I was! And I definitely need to eat more energy-containing foods during the days of large amounts of exercise. I'd made a fruit and veg juice for lunch that day, and usually those things are great for the fact that they give me all of the things I need to be healthy and give me enough energy for the day, and probably at most a 30-40 minute exercise session at the end of a day. But 90-120 minutes of pretty intense interval cardio? Forgeddaboudit.
So after that I was pretty sure I was going to vomit.
I didn't! But I'm going to training tomorrow night so I will eat some big fat food for lunch tomorrow.
Saturday! Oh Saturday. Saturday was cray. Cray cray. To those of my new friends who I was lucky enough to share Saturday with, thanks for the memories. To those who weren't there, you should have been there, and I won't divulge any other details. SG Australia Melbourne people are some awesome people, and I can't wait to do it all again soon.
But unfortunately, yesterday was a write-off. I felt pretty ordinary and I laid on the couch all afternoon while my new housemates moved in.
That's me being dead.
I'm not sure how I'm going to go with this shared living situation. I'm so anal about having things the way I like them and this house, even though it's two bedroom, is probably too small for 3 people with 3 people's worth of stuff to fit in. Especially when it was already completely full of my stuff to start with. But, I will be better off financially with the bills being shared. I just have to think of this! I'm spending the money in my head already.
