First thing's first: Tool tickets.
Yes, I have four to the Sydney show. Unfortunately, I think I really owe it my two remaining tickets (the first two going to myself of course, and the other to my best friend) to my brothers, who are also Tool fans. I wanted to be quiet about it but I couldn't contain my excitement. As soon as I let out that I had four, everyone wanted one. And to those of you who asked if they could buy one, I'm going to have to regretfully decline at this point. IF more dates are announced and IF I get tickets for a Brisbane show which would be more convenient for me, I think I would rather sell them at a non-inflated price to people I know, knowing that they'd appreciate the tickets, rather than sell them on ebay and make money from them. Ahh. But I do love money. But I do love my friends. DAMMIT!
I've had a pretty good week. Good and busy. I had my first guitar lesson on Thursday. The majority of the lesson was spent by my teacher shredding on his guitar.
"See to play a C chord you put your fingers here..... C C C shred shred shred"
And all of the shortcuts and easier ways to play things he gave me went straight through me. Not in the way curry does. But through in one ear and out the other. I consulted my chord poster and my learn to play guitar book and they have the correct fingering and not the easy fingering. I'm going to go back on Thursday at the exact same point I was last Thursday.
Friday night I went to see The Butterfly Effect at the re-opening of a club. The place was completely packed. The support band, Repeat Offender were quite good, and I chatted with and bought an EP from their guitarist out on the street afterwards. He liked my MCR shirt and told Lu she looked like Sarah Blasko, to which I added that she was a much better singer than Sarah Blasko (I don't even think Sarah Blasko is a bad singer, Lu is just PHENOMENAL). It's a pretty damn good venue too, it just happens to be nowhere near any other clubs, so to go there is to commit to a night away from everywhere (and everyone) else, or to either taxi it to the others, or to make the 20 minute walk up towards the others, which isn't half bad if you have walking company like Lu_doll. Back to the X where we hung out and met up with various friends.
Yesterday marked the beginning of Video Ezy's second movie sale for the year, this one being pirate themed (why?). I own no pirate clothes, so I pretty much wore normal clothes and a bandana and a crap load of eye-liner, but those who know me know that that's not all that out of the ordinary anyway. It was incredibly busy and we were under staffed, so much so that I had to make the call to have our manager come back and help out while everyone had their dinner breaks. I just couldn't spare a staff member, there was too much to do and too many people to attend to. Today was half as busy, but with less employees, but their crapness more than made up for it. I took on the job of tidying the sale stock and it was just so disheartening to see your work destroyed seconds after you have done it, right in front of you, without remorse. It was at this point I opened fire on the store and I am wanted for massacre related crimes. Don't dob on me.

blackphoenix:
Do movie pirates get special discounts in this sale?
blackphoenix:
OK then. I'll stay away.
