Oh goodness...
Today tops yesterday's efforts.
I woke up early so I could go shopping with my brother's. It's good for me to spend time with them outside of our kitchen when we all happen to convene at various times throughout the week. Daniel always wanders out of his room when he hears me come through the back door just to hang out for all of 5 minutes. I should make more of an effort.
We went to The Keyboard Shop, to find a beginners piano book for Michael. The lady tried so very hard to talk him in to lessons and took his details down to "put him in her database and call him when the book comes in" when really she wants to try harder to get him in to lessons. They're so frickin' cheap though! $10 a lesson - fuck, I want lessons for that cheap.
We then went along to this goth shop, somewhat of a first for Townsville (I think). They have a nice little selection of stuff for a young store. The one thing they lack is CD's. The store is small though, and they have tried to have variety over quanity. There are small quantities of lots of things and the shop looks very bare. I hope they do well. And get more band shirts.
Went to Castletown to find that because they're doing construction to build the so-called best Target store in Australia, lots of the parking had been taken up and we had a hard time. Bought Wendy's thickshakes. Bought Tool albums for Michael and Daniel. Bought blank CD's at Target. Went home.
Todd came over and we talked about old songs we had written and how we should re-work certain things to make them better and reintroduce them into the line-up. Nai also called later to say that someone else had called about our "bassist wanted" ad, potential a female. There will be a second audtion set up for next week. This will be good.
I then went to Rebecca's house to drop off the copy of 10,000 Days I had got her in case they ran out too early. It was good that it was not too awkward. I spent a good hour with her just chatting. I intended on trying to find George's house in the day time for a purpose I will soon explain, but Rebecca asked me if I wouldn't mind taking her to her friend's house to get her car from where she'd left it the night before whilst drinking. I did, and went home in preparation for....
THE DATE!
This is the greatest.
I finally got to spend some alone time with George. Her mum made her leave my number and asked heaps of questions about me. I thought it was cute that she was being protective. I saw a flaw in the plan though.. George gave her my mobile number. So if her fears had come true and I had kidnapped her, she would just be calling me and I'd be saying "I have your daughter, suckaaaa".
We saw V is for Vendetta. Which was a cool-ass movie. But nevermind that... after two hours of movie, I finally say: Hey I have this cool idea, and it involves us holding hands.
