Last night was a lot of fun! Went to watch Shaun of the Dead at an outdoor theater that shows movie in the summer. It's just a parking lot with a wall that is painted white. But lots of fun. You can bring your own food, drink, blankets, chairs etc... I even saw some people with their dogs!
Then today was the Pride Parade in Seattle. I wasn't able to go because I was working, but it brought a handful of customers in. Always nice of course. I remembered a great story today about work. Usually when people come in they think I am Russian. Which makes sense, since I do work in a Russian cafe. Then when I say I am not, they become hesitant to eat the food suddenly. This doesn't happen all the time, but it is always entertaining if it happens. This guy wasn't even from Russia; from Israel or something I believe. But he grew up eating borsch. So he decided to try it and had a second bowl then convinced his friend it was that good he had to have it. He asked if could by the whole entire pot of it.. I was stunned and said ummmm ok??? But he said never mind, but asked if he could adopt me instead?!?!? It was so funny. My co worker and I just burst out laughing. He has been back a couple times since with his friends....
It is a story I'll never forget.
Tonight I took my friend to dinner for her birthday. We went to Red Robin!
Was a lot of fun. Then a little while after I got home my mom called. I love talking to her! She is such an amazing woman. She isn't my biological mother, but the person who is now my mom. She is such a strong person and definitely someone I admire.
Have a good night! xoxo
