The only thing worse than having to socialize with people you don't know is having to socialize with potential future in-laws who are cold and distant.

I mean, I'm pretty shy and retiring but this woman makes me look like a caffeinatated car salesman by comparison. I guess my attitude is I've been with my gf for going on 8 years now, she's been with my gf's sister for maybe half that, if anyone needs to be accepted, it's her...so I feel a little put off by that. I'm probably reading too much into it and it's just a "thing." The same way I don't always reach out to people when I should, but it's frustrating. I'm not used to being on the other side of this equation. Am I this annoying?

I'm sure it'll be fine. But I'm terrible at small talk. I tend to watch the numbers when on the elevator. It's bad.

At least we (sorta) have sunlight today.
