So I'm at the end of my first (half) week of work with Kaplan....
The negatives: I'm still not set up for the computer system, and things are very Wild Wild West/Deadwood right now while we get this whole department set up.
Because of this, I don't have my benefits yet.
The positives: It's not my old job! I like the people I'm working with. My boss is one cool lady! Everyone is really nice! There's a lot of diversity here. I'm excited about the future here.
It's close to the Metra! I'm doing a lot more walking to get around and will therefore drop a lot of my extra poundage, although there are a bunch of restaurants with food that is baaaaad for me.
We interviewed about 25 people today in two groups, a lot of strong candidates. Actually, I sat in on it and collected consent forms and acted as a backup person. It was still a lot of fun.
I'm excited! Can you tell?
