I hope you all had a restful and merry Christmas, even if you don't celebrate.
Time spent with loved ones and family...that's what the holidays are about. Not going into debt or doing a reverse suplex on some fellow shopper who tried to snag the last 50% off iPod Nano.
It's about renewing old ties and strengthening bonds, and finding that last bit of closure.
Ultimately, family, those people we break bread with on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning after church, are the people we're stuck with and who will stick by us until the end. They are there to bail us out when we screw up. They're there for us when we meet the person we're going to marry. They're there when we need to think about old times and how simple life was, once.
When we bid our last adieu, they'll be there at our side.
Some people believe that God is above us, but I think God is in the Love we feel for our Family, whether that Family is comprised of our flesh and blood, or our friends.
I hope you were close to God during this season.
