After 2 whole days worth of sun, I am in a summer mood. This, coupled with my recent reflective mood, has been captured brilliantly in my favourite song right now:
Whether you like him or not, Kid Rock rocks.
I've been thinking alot recently (ok, who said that they thought they smelled burning?) about friends (and girlfriends) I used to have, my school days, missed oportunities etc. I've also given a lot of thought to how our outlook affects our life and I've decided that I have a lot to be grateful for and should have a more positive attitude. I'm gonna get back to some of the things which used to bring me a great deal of pleasure, Drawing and Photography. I've not done either since all of this drama came into my life and, although I was never good enough to make a living, both used to really relax me.
The McFly concert we went to the other week was really good. I'm never that bothered about who's playing, I just love live music and it's made so much better when it's played out in the open. There is nothing better than being at an open-air gig, in a forest/ field, as the sun is setting. It's a truly magical feeling. Watching the Devil Children jumping around in circles, holding hands and singing their little hearts out is an image I'll never forget. They still haven't stopped talking about it.
Kirstie started college last week. She works with my brother, in the kitchen of his pub but she's getting tired of all the arguments that come with working with my family. She's doing an intensive Gym Instructor course and, once she's finished, she'll (hopefully) be able to get work in a gym locally. She's also talking about studying Child Fitness: she's already been offered the opportunity to teach a class at my youngest Devil Child's school if she does and, at 3.50 per kid for an hour lesson, this could be a nice little earner. She can also get placed on our GP's referral list as the government are putting more pressure on them to refer obese people to a gym or class rather than treat them medically.
The football season starts on 16th August and I can't wait. It seems like forever since last season ended and all the excitement about which players my team will sign is getting me ready for it. Should be a good season, we have some amazing players coming in to the league this year, from the sound of things.
In tribute to my downloading it on Rock Band and playing the shit out of it, here's one of the best songs ever written:
Anyone who thought "Ohh, it's the song from CSI: New York" is far too young to be a friend of mine.
"We were too rough at the edges to be a pop group."

The past (my past at least) is hugely over-rated.
That is precisely what my horoscope has been telling me for the past two days.
I immediately started blushing when our hands touched and then I found it hard to speak.
What a dork I am, hey?
I really dislike that Kid Rock song, but then again, I dislike every song he's done, so...
I don't blame you, but at the same time - really?? You're a Kid Rock fan???
I'm glad you're enjoying your summer. Moi aussi.
