It's good news/ bad news time.
In the good section of the news, I quit smoking. I know it may be premature to brag about it after only a week but it's something I did 10 years ago (until recent events) and I know that I don't need it anymore. The first couple of days were really hard and I will admit that I slipped up a couple of times but after that, the cravings subsided and it became much easier.
Some of you may know that it was my birthday over the weekend and Kirstie and I went out with some friends. Nothing posh, just Pizza Hut and a movie but it was nice to get out of the house for the evening. We saw Rambo and I thought it was a great movie (this may have something to do with the 236 deaths ) and really liked how Stallone handled the way the character has aged, giving him limits.
I have also enrolled on a home study accountancy course. It is predominantly for my job right now but a qualification of this kind (after I pass the course I can have letters after my name, fancy eh?) can only be a benefit in the long run.
Bad news now. I think my house is cursed!
Seriously. We moved last September to a house which is 3 years old. As soon as we get unpacked one of the lights dies, there is no power to the switch or anything. Then we get a leak which runs down in a straight line, in rooms on 2 of the 3 storeys. We find the problem and have it fixed but 2 weeks later notice that the leak is still happening in the ground floor room (and we have a hole in the wall upstairs, from where it was fixed before). We call a plumber who proceeds to knock holes all over the fucking house to try to find the problem. He fixes it and the insurance will pay for the repairs so everythings ok then. Right?
Wrong. We are due for the builders to come and start work repairing the holes in the walls, ceilings and floors today and I come downstairs this morning to find another leak, in the same room, 2 feet away from where the last one was! We have the guy coming tomorrow to try to fix it but whats the point, it'll only happen again.
To top it all off, the moles which plagued my old garden and were never in this one when my neighbour lived here - they followed me and now they're tearing up my lawn. I've been told that you don't get moles in the States so you may not know what they are. If you want to know (and can be bothered) google "mole hills" to see how they fucked my grass up.
FUCK THE COUNTRYSIDE! I should have never moved out of London!
Hope you're all having better luck than me right now.

happy happy birthday! ... I think pizza makes an awesome birthday, but I'm biased as I love pizza so much.
And if you can study accounting you have more patience than i... I'm not a fan of numbers, or money, or sitting for long periods of time.
and an update on girl situation, natalie is out of the picture.... but now I might have something going on with quinne.... not completely sure... I also have a date with this girl joey from petco haha.... but we'll see.
