It's been a busy couple of weeks for me. We went to see Linkin Park at the O2 arena in London the other week, they were amazing. Before this my list of concert goings has been somewhat embarrassing and consisted of - Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi (Twice, I know they're not cool but but they remind me of being a kid), Elvis (I don't care what you think, it was amazing ) and Justin Timberlake (The things we do for love, eh?).
Now though, I have a concert I can be proud I went to. It was my first experience of Mosh Pits, even though I wasn't in there, it looked like a big waste of time to me (maybe I'm not cool enough to understand). I'll post pictures soon, if anyones interested.
I've also been to the cinema a few times recently. I Am Legend was ok but not a patch on the book. Alien Vs Predator was your typical mindless action film, I quite enjoyed it and Sweeney Tood was... too much singing for me. Don't get me wrong, I can watch a musical and enjoy it but this was just shit, Johnny Depp was good in it though. On my list of things to see next - Rambo, Cloverfield, 10,000 BC and... Kung Fu Panda.
My house finally rented. This means that, for the next year at least, I don't have to worry about where the money is gonna come from for the mortgage, YAY! Even if it means that my new neighbour is a bit of an ass.
Some of you may remember that Kirsite went to the Sahara last year to trek through the desert for a week, well, next time I'm going with her. I'll need to starting working out again so that I don't let everyone down but we can't decide where to go. Our options are -
Costa Rica, a trek through the rainforest. Sleeping in tents in the jungle for a week followed by an 8k kayak trip down the rapids.
Tanzania, footsteps of the Masai. Walking across the safari plains, sleeping in traditional Masai tents and climbing the holy mountains. Followed by a days jeep safari.
China, trek the Great Wall for a week. climbing the steep steps and looking out at the countryside from the greatest defensive structure ever built. Sleeping will be in traditional Chinese lodges (real beds anyone?).
We can't decide.Which would you pick?
