So, life has returned to normalcy, back at work, all machinery is operable. Cleveland is still kinda boring.
ATTENTION! If, during all the holiday traffic jams you come across someone like me wearing bunker gear and a helmet and holding out a boot, do us a favor, just throw a bit of change in that boot. We're collecting for sick kids, do it every year, we don't get paid for it, we stand in that gear all day on the pavement. While some people complain we're slowing down their holiday, remember, we're working the holiday. We don't ever close, EVER!! New Years Eve 1999-2000, the big one, everyone remembers, I was working, Christmas and Thanksgiving of last year, worked both. I'm not complaining about work, that's my schedule, I love my job and would do no other, but listening to people bitch about us standing in the street doing just one fund-raising event a year pisses me off. Just smile, throw in a few coins and take the sticker we give you. Then we can smile for real and thank you and you can go about your business and forget the five minute delay.
That's all for now.

And believe me, if I see any men (or women) holding out their boots this weekend, I'll be sure to throw in some cold hard cash.
