June. Wow. The older I get, the quicker my life seems to just go into overdrive.
We had to buy a new computer today (dude, we got a dell) because my other one crapped out on us for reasons unknown - probably lightening after all those storms. So I spent the majority of this morning starting this new one up, rerouting the wireless for this computer, and installing all the other software we had on the other. I love new electronics. I've never been materialistic until it came to the latest gadgets.
Afterward, I took a nap on the couch and was awakened to the sound of my sister and 13 year old niece arguing about pink hair and boys in the kitchen, hahaha!! I was my niece at one point, but I think I was more rebellious. BUT, she just turned 13, so I'm still waiting for her to go for it, it does runs in the family after all.
I helped my mom with some yard work. It was actually refreshing despite the south's relentless moist heat.
Hurricane season is pretty much here, and I wonder what this year will bring as far as destruction. It doesn't seem like the meteorologists know their ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to predictions, so it's all just a guessing game. You think science would put more time, effort, and technology trying to better their predictions for potentially saving more lives instead of performing in vitro of 30 fetuses into unemployed, wacked out single parents who still live with their mothers...but hey! That's just me.
