Gaah O.o
I didn't do anything but sleep and watch cold case files today!! I think the only thing I accomplished was cleaning my room, but hey, what are days off for?
My mom took one of our kitties, Yuppie, a big chubby black kitty, to the vet for his checkup. She said he's lost weight, he used to be 16 lbs, now he's 15....wow, big loss, haha. Poor guy has been through so much. When we evacuated for Hurricane Katrina, we thought we were only leaving for a few days, and that we'd be back, so we left our kitties (I know, it's terrible..I begged my mom to let us take them and cried when we couldn't) and since my boyfriend at the time was not evacuating, he said he would come by the house everyday to check on them.
Well the storm hit, it was worse than everyone anticipated, and FEMA wasn't letting anyone through, since it was a disaster. Eventually my boyfriend at the time moved here with us, and before he left I told him to please go to my home and bring any kitties he could find, but he didn't find any.
A year later, I go back home...the place looked as if the storm had just hit and I cried when we pulled into my old driveway. Trees were down by the roots and our fence was smashed, our roof had a bit of damage and a window was broken, but everything else looked fine. I said I wanted to go in, it was locked, so I hopped the fence to the backyard, which was even worse than the front, and went to the backdoor, and in the windowsill was Yuppie...a year later. I could feel my myself getting panicky, but to not scare him off I kept as calm as I could, and got him down. As soon as I got in the car with Yuppie in a pet carrier that was ironically and conveniently placed on our old front porch (by who? don't know!) I called my mom hysterical and told her I'd found him. He was skinny, but muscular. And now he's back with us, he survived the storm, and gained a bunch of weight...so much, that his hair follicles are stretched across his skin on his stomach, so it makes him look like he's balding, but really...he's just fat.
The end.

Nice companion cube picture. My profile picture used to be me hugging a companion cube.
