listening to Leonrad Cohen, sucking on a cigarette, and waiting for the coffee to brew.

hmmm. i'm having trouble making sentences, and spelling words correctly. still groggy- i slept a bit much last night. but i must have needed it, i figure.

went to a couple yard sales yesterday looking for a bike helmet. i also picked up a few books and a sexy leather breifcase. score!


my brain is safe now.

books! i'm most excited about Petronius' Satyricon. yes, i am a classics geek.

impulse buy. but i figured i could use it for... something. yeah. i got all this stuff for $5. i fucking love yard sales. which is why my house is filled with junk.

that's about it. hopefully i'll get to draw today. i need to clean off my desk... grrr. i also want to go to the park and hang out on my favorite bench by the pond, watch all the birds, and take some pictures. so that's my plan for the day.

please keep the book recommendations coming, too. i'm going to the library today to order up some of the books that were recommended yesterday. my neighborhood branch is called the "Nix Branch", which i always thought was funny because they don't have anything, really. but they can get it for me from another branch.
