Rhys: "We don't have rats, we have mice."
Hyena: "No way the mice are that loud. It's rats."
Rhys: "I physically saw a mouse!"
Hyena: "We have both. Just because we have mice, that doesn't mean we don't have rats. I mean, those little mice cannot knock shit over. "
Rhys: "How come we haven't seen these rats?"
Hyena: "They're sneakier than the mice. The mice are their minions."
Rhys: "...minions?"
Hyena: "Yes. The Mice are the minions of the Rats. The Roaches are the minions of the Mice. All the other bugs are minions of the Roaches..."
Rhys: "So there's a pecking order?"
Hyena: "Exactly."

This is exactly how I feel about scurrying critters.
One exception. Palmetto Bugs are like Titanium Golems. I think butterflys summon them to do their bidding.
