Hola pista del SG, que pasa?
Not much new this week.. well actually thats a lie, my week was actually pretty fucking rad. I joined 3 groups on meetup.com and went to 2 meet ups yesterday. The first was for people who live in my neighborhood, we met at a local coffee shop and shared stories, it was quite nice. I met a nice girl who I hung out with at the farmers market, at first I thought she might be someone i could be interested in.. but after the hang out I'm definitely not feeling it, also she has an 18 year old daughter (she is only 35!) and frankly the daughter is way hotter.. so that won't work. My second meet up yesterday was for the "veg music goers" group, there were only 2 other people going, the group organizer and her boyfriend. So I walked down to the tractor which is right down the street from me and met up with Michael and Holli. Two things about this were awesome, 1. I liked them both very much, both very rad people and that was a nice change and 2. the music!!! The opener was a really amazing girl named Sallie Ford who seemed like she held the souls of Muddy Waters, Nina Simone and Etta James in the shell of this tiny little while girl *swoon* she could get into my pants any day. *Side note: Why doesn't he iPhone have wireless syncing yet?*
Shaky photo of Sallie and the Sound Outside
Sallie was followed by Trampled by Turtles a bluegrass band from Minnesotta who I can only describe as shockingly amazing, just epic. They have albums on itunes, you should check them out.
And those are my meet up experiences for the week.. well also I've been texting with this other girl from meet up, from the Ballard group, who has a Brooklyn area code.. she seems pretty nice, we're going to hang out later this week! Stoked to be meeting some people finally
Another thing I did this weekend was checked out a view reclaimed furniture/building supply stores, one of which is like 100m from my place. I found some beautiful stained glass panes that I want to put up on the walls as wall art. I also found this epic wood fire stove, that I just had to share;
In the spirit of the holidays I decided to do a little decorating, it isn't much but it makes me happy I might do a little more I'm not sure.
In further spirit of the holidays I thought I'd mention a few things I want this holiday season, anyone feeling generous?
