Thanksgiving: $5 microwave dinner. $10 Metra tickets to Chicago. $6.00 cab ride to an Irish pub in Greektown. $30 tab. $5 cab ride back to train station. Sleeping like a bum in an ATM enclosure because train station wasn't open yet, priceless.

it's like that everywhere, so i don't hang out on base, keep a non-military haircut, and never flash my military id. helps me pass for civilian most the time.
