Hello lovelies!
For my blog homework, I’m writing about how SG has changed my life. SG has changed my life because it put me in touch with a community that I wasn’t even aware that existed in my city🖤 I’ve made so many new friends who are just so positive and happy for each other all the time. It’s very inspiring! Especially to someone like me who has fought with image issues my whole life. Also, because of the SG community I’ve been able to work and hang out with some incredible photographers and really come out of my shell. One thing that was truly a great moment for me was when I got to work with a photographer whom I was a little intimidated by (because her work was so great and she really knew that she was doing where I felt like I did not) and she turned out to be such a great and cool person! I really love how this community takes the cultural norm of women disliking each other and being nasty to each other and giving it a big middle finger and saying “fuck you, we are gonna love and treat each other right!” This is the kind of community I want to always be a part of, surrounded by incredible empowering beautiful ladies! I love how my friends in the SG community make me feel welcomed and beautiful, even when I’m not feeling so hot. They truly are an amazing group of humans, and I’m so lucky to be a part of it 💕💕💕💕
These are the ladies I’m talking about btw:
